What is a CSA?
What is a CSA?
A CSA, or Community Supported Agriculture is a mutual partnership between farmer and consumer, where farmers offer “shares” of produce for the consumer to purchase.
What does it mean to be a shareholder?
A shareholder simply means you have the right to a “share” of a farms harvest.
How does a CSA work?
The consumer pays in advance for their CSA share . In return the farmer provides a weekly basket of seasonal produce. Participation in the CSA is on a first come, first serve basis meaning the sooner you sign up, the sooner your spot is secured for the growing season.
